The fields lining the promenade to downtown Ortisei become snow-covered slopes in the winter, bordering the woods that climb the Siusi Alps serviced by the nearby lifts you can ski to from the hotel!

During the summer, our hotel is surrounded by lawns in bloom, an rather unique area that few hotels can offer guests. Our partner sports facilities and Mar Dolmit pool provide fun and recreation for our guests.

Hotel Ortisei

Free excursions for our guests leave the hotel guided by the ‘Catores’, the famous alpine guides who will help you to discover the wonders of uncontaminated nature, with breathtaking views and magnificent protected reserves like the Puez Odle nature park.

The footpaths in Val Gardena are well marked and please both expert hikers as well as those who are just seeking a pleasant walk. During longer hikes, we suggest you stop at one of the area's many huts and try the local dishes from the Alto Adige cuisine.

From Ortisei, cross the Gardena and Sella passes to easily reach Val Badia and Val di Fassa.

Val Gardena Museum

If you want to learn about the valley's Ladin culture, visit the interesting Val Gardena Museum. The ‘Cësa di Ladins’ hosts brilliant works by wood sculptors, paintings by the Ladin master Josef Moroder-Lusenberg, a collection of fossil and archeological findings and the unique wooden toy collection dating back to the eighteenth century, attributed to Johann Senoner Vastlè.

Ski buffs can't resist the call of Val Gardena and the Dolomites. And for good reasons: more than 170 km of downhill slopes and almost 100 km of cross-country trails in the valley alone. Dolomiti Superski provides 460 lifts and over 1,220 km of slopes which, connected with the Siusi Alps, create runs like the Sella Ronda, 26 km downhill in a single day! The Seceda cableway, 5 minutes from the Hotel Hell, takes you to the starting point of the entire Sella group circuit..
